Jhondly van der Meer is a versatile defender who currently plays for the Norwegian FK Jerv and is also an international for Haiti. He is known for his good passing, physical strength, and tactical insight, qualities that distinguish him as both a center-back and a right-back.

Jhondly started his professional football career in 2013 when he made the transition to the youth academy of SC Cambuur Leeuwarden. He completed the entire youth development of the club from Leeuwarden and made his debut in professional football in 2020. He was promoted with SC Cambuur to the Eredivisie and played more than 30 matches in the Dutch professional football league. Last summer, the defender made the switch to the Norwegian FK Jerv, with which he competes for promotion to the OBOS-Ligaen.
